Duck race at Gilroy Gardens
to support Leadership Gilroy!

WHO: 1,000 brave little ducks

WHAT: Will race over Bonfante Falls at Gilroy Gardens, in a daring leap of courage to show their support for Leadership Gilroy. Leadership Gilroy is the nonprofit organization that inspires and develops community leaders, and has led to the creation of amazing events, programs, and partnerships over 11 years of service.

The little duckies will be raising money to keep the Leadership Gilroy program strong, and to ensure that a new class of leaders can go through the program next year. The duckies need help! Community members, families, and businesses can sponsor a duck for only $30. With each $30 sponsorship donors will receive a Gilroy Gardens ticket for the day of the race, and a chance to win amazing prizes. Ducks that cross the finish line first will reward their sponsors with gifts, tickets, and other prizes. Although donors need not be present to win, all are encouraged to enjoy a day of fun a the park and cheer on their ducks! $20 of each Duckie sponsorship goes directly to support Leadership Gilroy's respected program.

WHY: Leadership Gilroy's mission is to develop an informed group of diverse leaders who are engaged in the community ot help build Gilroy's future. We want to develop leaders who will be instrumental in taking Gilroy into the 21st Century. Graduates of the program are armed with the skills and confidence to run, serve, and be effective on councils, boards, and committees.
