The Project

The Leadership Gilroy Class of 2012 created a project centered on community volunteerism and service coordination. Their signature accomplishment was launching a website called CommunityServiceGilroy.com, designed to help local organizations track volunteer activities and connect community members with service opportunities. The site included a “Volunteer Meeter” feature that logged volunteer hours contributed through the project, making it easier for nonprofits and volunteers to stay organized and measure impact.

The class partnered with ABD Promotions to design and launch the website, which also included a blog for posting updates, events, and community‑service activities. The project’s focus was on strengthening Gilroy’s culture of volunteerism by creating a centralized, easy‑to‑use digital hub for service opportunities.
