The Project

The Leadership Gilroy Class of 2023 held an Art Showcase that was designed to support youth arts in Gilroy. They held a chalk art festival on September 16, 2023 at the Paseo between the Gilroy Library and City Hall. They included a chalk art contest, food trucks, interactive games, live music, and local artists. They created a space to bring attention to the arts in our community. The Art Showcase raised over $10,000 and the Leadership Gilroy Class of 2023 was able to provide funds to 6th Street Art Studio for their after school program and to California Summer Performing Arts Academy for new instruments.
